Boundary Files

Statistics Canada's boundary files contain boundaries of standard geographic areas in effect on January 1, 2006, the geographic reference date of the 2006 Census.

Digital Boundary Files depict the full extent of the geographical areas, including the coastal water area. Cartographic Boundary Files depict the geographical areas using only the major land mass of Canada and its coastal islands.

Supplementary ranked water feature layers are available for use with the Boundary Files.
